The role will focus on delivering secure, scalable, and reusable integration capabilities that connect applications, platforms, data services, and external systems across both cloud and sovereign/air-gapped environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy API-led integration solutions using Apigee.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs, API proxies, products, and security policies.
- Deliver integrations across GCP, GDC, on-premises, and third-party systems.
- Support integration solutions within secure and regulated environments, including disconnected or restricted networks.
- Collaborate with solution architects, security teams, platform engineers, and application teams to define integration standards and patterns.
- Implement API security controls including OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, and certificate management.
- Leverage cloud-native services and integration patterns to deliver scalable and resilient solutions.
- Support CI/CD automation and deployment of integration assets through DevSecOps pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve API, integration, connectivity, and performance issues.
- Produce technical design documentation, implementation guides, and operational runbooks.
- 5+ years of experience delivering enterprise integration solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Google Distributed Cloud (GDC).
- Proven experience implementing and managing Apigee X, Apigee Hybrid, or Apigee in regulated environments.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and API-first architectures.
- Strong understanding of API lifecycle management, governance, and security.
- Experience implementing OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, mTLS, and PKI-based security solutions.
- Experience with containerized applications and Kubernetes platforms.
- Knowledge of event-driven and message-based integration patterns.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and DevSecOps practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
- Experience with GDC Air-Gapped or sovereign cloud environments.
- Experience with GKE, Anthos, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Secret Manager, IAM, and service mesh technologies.
- Experience integrating identity and access management solutions.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust and cloud-native security patterns.
- Google Cloud, Kubernetes, or Apigee certifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Relevant Google Cloud, Kubernetes, or API Management certifications highly regarded.
- Current Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance required.
